Heritage students led a remembrance ceremony commemorating the events of 9/11 along with thanking 1st responders for their continued service. The event included the Pledge to the American flag (and then students continued with the Texas Pledge and our own Heritage Pledge), a moment of silence, and singing a song titled, “We Remember”. Afterward, students were able to meet the 1st responders up close and see their vehicles. We want to also say a special thank you to the Southside ISD officers that work to keep our campus safe. Again, thank you to all for joining us this morning.

Happy Women’s Independence Day!
Even though we have chosen an occupation that is traditionally known as a woman’s job, we are none the less, fiercely independent. We are daughters, wives, mothers, and friends that take care of a household and even hold down extra jobs while exceptionally handling our “teacher” duties. Happy Women’s Independence Day from our 3rd grade team!
Congratulations Heritage!
Students, staff, and families have worked very hard over the last year. We have overcome the pandemic obstacles and performed better than anyone thought we would. Together we were one of only two schools in the state to move from an “F” rating to an “A” rating.
