Southside High School students study U.S. Constitution at Texas A&M University at San Antonio

Southside High School students react after reading about amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

Texas A&M San Antonio invited the Southside High School advanced placement (AP) Macroeconomics/AP Government students to its Constitution Day celebration. Southside High students took part in a round table discussion with TAMU-SA political science professors about the First and Fourteenth Amendment rights as they apply to the current political climate.  SHS students engaged with rigorous discussion topics relating to First and Fourteenth Amendment freedoms, including Supreme Court cases that serve as case precedent for many of the civil liberty protections that exist today.
