Heritage Elementary students thank Police and Firefighters during First Responder’s Day ceremony

During the Heritage Elementary School’s First Responder’s Day ceremony, the entire student body sang a song titled, “You are our heroes.” Following the performance a San Antonio Police Officer said, “We’ve been to other schools this week, but you are the first ones to sing to us.” The event annually falls on the 9/11 anniversary honoring the nation’s firefighters and police officers. For the last eight years, Heritage Elementary has honored police and firefighters. Each event includes a visit from the San Antonio Police Department’s Eagle helicopter.
