The board of trustees of an independent school district designates non-business days, while the executive director or chief administrative officer of other governmental bodies does so. A governmental body can designate up to 10 non-business days per calendar year. The non-business days for the 2025 calendar year are March 10, 2025, March 11, 2025, March 12, 2025, March 13, 2025, March 14, 2025, November 24, 2025, November 25, 2025, November 26, 2026, December 22, 2025, and December 23, 2025.

Business Partnerships
Southside ISD school-business partnerships are mutually beneficial, long-term relationships that provide value to both the district and the company. Partnerships are designed to give our business community the opportunity to donate human resources to our students and staff. These relationships are not marketing opportunities but rather opportunities to sincerely serve and benefit children. If you are interested in becoming a school business partner talk to our communications representative, Sylvia Rincon.
