One of Menchaca’s newest admin team members that hit the ground running in October is Dr. Darcy Baker-Martinez. Dr. Baker comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and administrative experience. She is responsible for overseeing all academic operations. She leads, reviews data and assists in developing a high quality educational program for our early childhood program. She also supports staff with research-based resources, strategies, coaching and data that takes students to a higher level. Dr. Baker’s area of research is improving the schooling of at-risk students in measurable and systematic ways. Thank you, Dr. Baker, for making a positive impact here at Menchaca and with SISD.
Ava Rodriguez is an outstanding student. She is a true Cardinal and demonstrates all the cardinal traits. She is a bright girl and already knows all her letters and sounds. Ava is a sweet girl with a thoughtful heart. She goes out of her way to be friendly to all. You can always find her smiling in class, in the hallway, and at lunch. It’s a pleasure having her at MECC.
