Thank you Nurse Adela Alvarado for working hard to keep all the students and staff of Heritage safe and healthy this year and every other year. Being a nurse is a full time job and we appreciate you!
Heritage Student Art
Since the pandemic has kept many of you from visiting our campus, we want to share some of the artwork created by our students. It is hard to tell if you’re in a school or art gallery with all the beautiful pieces hanging in our halls. Since March, the students have learned about artists such as Monet, Van Gogh, and O’Keeffe while creating Spring pictures. They have also tried weaving on a variety of student made looms. Following this, students learned about insects, spiders, and bees while creating their own bug inspired pieces.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week
May 3-7 is Teacher Appreciation Week. Heritage is such a great place to go to school and also to work at because of its amazing staff, especially its teachers. This year has been especially challenging, but you stepped up and made it work. Thank you for all you do!
STAAR Pep Rally
On Friday, April 30, our students were treated to a STAAR studded pep rally to celebrate all their hard work thus far. The STAAR tests are a week away, but we wanted our students to know we are with them. Every student in every grade received a goody bag and the 1st and 2nd grades made posters and cheered on the STAAR grade levels as they exited the building. Both students and staff enjoyed getting dressed up in their most glamorous Hollywood attire!
Happy Administrative Assistant Day!
Heritage is lucky to have three amazing ladies that keep the office and school running smoothly. Ms. Sylvia greets guests, answers calls, and generally everything else that someone might need. Ms. Melinda keeps track of student data, monitors and assists with keeping students in class. Ms. Deborah is in charge of ordering, time sheet data, substitutes, and will cover classes when we are short staffed. Thank you ladies for all your hard work and all you do for our school and community!
