The Southside FFA BBQ teams competed at their first regional qualifier this Saturday at Bandera High School. All 5 teams qualified for State at this contest. It was a great day for Southside FFA BBQ teams winning a total of 15 banners including Overall Champion and Reserve Champion Ribs going to Losoya Middle School Team Blowin Smoke Comprised of Nikko Garcia, Alan Ellison, and Jaylen Lailson. Other Champions include Champion Chicken And Pork Chops By the Red Storm BBQ which consists of Maverick Vela, Zach Ramos, Marco Martinez, and Gabriel Martinez, and Champion Chili by the Junior Cardinal Cookers which consists of Mia Montelongo and Ryan Diaz. That is right Southside had 3 of the 5 division champions and 1 reserve division Champion. This was a great first Contest and we will still have 2 more Regionals before State.
