Gallardo Elementary stands out at the 11th Annual Dia de los Muertos Festival at Hemisfair Park

An ornate altar created by the Gallardo Elementary dual language department made a colorful statement at the 11th Annual Dia de los Muertos Festival at Hemisfair Park. The school was one of dozens of entries during the two-day long festival on October 28 and 29. Teachers and students in first through fifth grade dual language classes created the colorful masterpiece that was on display for the entire city to view.
