Students at Southside ISD celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by coming together to learn more about their culture. They talked about roots connecting them to their ancestors. They have a history of being hard workers, passionate about music, and their love for food. The Spanish Department, Los Mariachis Cardenales del Sur and the Culinary Arts program came together to enjoy a time of cultural festivities. The students enjoyed live mariachi music with freshly made pozole, tamales, chips and salsa, and pan dulce.
