School has not yet begun, but the Southside High School Mighty Cardinal Band isn’t letting anything slow it down this school year. The band took to the field at Cardinal Stadium to give a preview performance for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. While most students enjoyed sleeping in later over the summer, band members were up before sunrise practicing before feeling the effects of record-breaking heat. If today’s preview performance is any indication, the Mighty Cardinal Band is already a show-stopper. Go Cardinals!
