The monthly AR competition is intended to not only be a friendly rivalry between campuses, but also a way to instill a love of reading in our students. Students read a book and take a quiz, to assess how well they understood it and to earn points. At the end of each month, the students with the most points at each grade level receive prizes and recognition. Each book a student reads also tallies up the number of words they read. When a student reaches a million words, they become a part of our AR Word Millionaire group and are honored at our Board meetings.
