(San Antonio, TX) – The first-ever Southside ISD Mariachi Festival will happen at SHS Auditorium on March 4th, 2023 from 9 am until 3 pm.
More than a dozen mariachi groups from the San Antonio and surrounding areas will compete and perform. Under Anna Bustamante’s direction, the Southside High School Mariachi group will kick off the event with a grito and a song right at 10 am on Saturday. The award-winning Bustamante and the SISD Communications Department’s director Sylvia Rincon will host the event. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5. Children under the age of ten are free. Expect a fun, entertaining time with door prizes and more at SHS Auditorium.
