The Big Reveal: Historians to Discuss their Findings of the Battle of Medina

Historian Richard Crawford's miniature version of the Battle of Medina will be on display Wednesday, May 18 at 6:00 p.m. at the Southside High School new gymnasium.

The public is invited to attend the findings of the Battle of Medina on Wednesday, May 18 at 6:00 p.m. at the Southside High School new gymnasium. Historian Brandon Seale will reveal what experts found during high-tech scan last winter in the search for the deadliest battle in Texas history. You will find out where historians now believe the Battle of Medina took place.

Also, the public is invited to bring their artifacts for evaluation. UTSA archeologist Dr. Clinton McKenzie will examine artifacts for identification, age, and authenticity. Is that a real cannon ball? Bring it to this event.

The Big Reveal coincides with the Southside ISD End of Year Celebration beginning at 5:30 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. at Southside High School. Families can enjoy free sausage wraps, and enjoy student performances. Make plans to attend and bring the kids. The End of Year Celebration is sponsored in part by a grant from Amerigroup.
