( San Antonio, TX) – Congratulations to Heritage Elementary, Matthey Middle School, Losoya Middle School, and Southside High School for reaching the 4,500 Accelerated Reader (AR) point goal. We are also excited to recognize Gallardo Elementary, Pearce Elementary, and Freedom Elementary for having 97% of their students participate in the AR program in February. Finally, we want to send a very special Cardinal shout-out to Southside High School for earning 40,215 AR points and Matthey Middle School for attaining 17,454 AR points. AR points are accumulated when students read a book and take an AR quiz. Students who read more books with more pages achieve higher points.
