A Heritage Elementary third-grader is the grand prize winner of the District’s STAAR incentive program.
Camila Romero, a third-grade student in Mrs. Christina Traeger’s class, won a $550 Best Buy gift card to purchase a PlayStation 5 or another item of her choice.
Superintendent Mr. Rolando Ramirez came up with the STAAR initiative to encourage greater student achievement and participation in the STAAR exam.
All of the incentives totaling more than $3000 came from donated funds. The incentive prize winners are:
