Dwayne Knox is Losoya Middle School’s teacher of the week. He is the sponsor of our National Junior Honor Society, and works tirelessly in passing on his passion for community service to our students. He has been a Math teacher at Southside ISD for over 25 years, provides tutoring before and after school to both present and past students, and makes coming to school a happy and safe place for students to. During COVID-19, he recorded lessons for his students to watch in Google Classroom, and provided a virtual classroom for them to attend tutoring sessions.
Losoya Middle School’s student of the week is 7th grade student Gabryela Galvan. She is a hard worker, and always tries to figure out a solution to her problems. She exemplifies great leadership by helping her peers with their assignments, and is respectful and kind to everyone. Gabryela enjoys reading, earned a ribbon and certificate for her Science Fair project, is a student athlete, and has earned the opportunity to join the Losoya Chapter of the National Honor Society for the 2020-2021 school year.
