National Voter Registration Day – September 25

Every year, millions of Americans find themselves unable to vote because of missed registration deadlines, outdated registration information or a lack of knowledge on how to register. National Voter Registration Day was created to help solve that problem.

National Voter Registration Day is a holiday that celebrates the nation’s democracy.

It is held every year on the fourth Tuesday of September to give citizens a greater awareness of the importance of voting and to allow them the opportunity to register.

Volunteers and organizations from all over the country will participate in a single day of coordinated field, technology and media efforts.

At Southside ISD, voter registration cards will be available at our high school campus in the front office or central office front desk to give the community an opportunity to register to vote.

The deadline to register is Tuesday, Oct. 9 for the Nov. 6 Election Day.

National Voter Registration Day began in 2012. View more information about Texas voter registration here.
