School Climate Survey

Research indicates that schools with positive school climate ratings have better test scores and higher graduation rates. School climate refers to the quality and character of school life. The first step to improving school climate is to measure and analyze it with a school climate survey instrument.

In order to plan and provide for a safe and supportive learning environment for all students, Southside ISD will be conducting an anonymous district wide survey that will assist in identifying school climate issues that impact student achievement. The district will be surveying students, parents, and staff members in an effort identify safety and health issues that have an adverse impact on student achievement and school climate. The survey will be used to guide school prevention and intervention programs for the 2018-2019 school year. All survey data is anonymous and self-reported.

If you would like to review the survey, please come by the assistant superintendent’s office at central office located at 1460 Martinez-Losoya Rd. and we will be happy to provide you with a copy for your review.
