The Southside ISD Education foundation awarded ten $1000 scholarships to ten students. It was the first time SEF participated in the SHS 7th Annual Senior Decision Day. The ceremony recognizes graduating seniors and their post –secondary decisions announcing where each student will attend college. Students’ enlistment to the military service were also recognized. Representatives from more than a dozen universities and colleges were on hand to help welcome the students with “swag bags” and representatives from each of the armed forces also attended.
Foundation Members in attendance, Daniel Rodriguez, Onel Jimenez and Geneva Rodriguez were on hand to award the following scholarships to the these winners:
Natalie Nicole Herrera Diaz, Caitlynn Letty Partin, Marco Rivera, Gabriella Nicole Aguilar , Cristel Amairany Torres, Allie Nicole Herrera, Daniel Luna, John Gilbert Trevino,Raven Lee Fernandez, and Jose Victor Rodriguez, Jr.
