Here at Freedom, Coach Mendez has coordinated a group of students to form the Freedom Marathon Kids. They run during their specials times, and keep a running log of their progress. Once again, our students are being treated to great nutritional advice and great snacks, thanks to the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension! Representatives from the AgriLife Extension provide nutrition classes for grades K-4th during PE periods. Students learn about healthy food options and exercise. Students will attend classes once every week for the next six weeks.
The Freedom choir went on a field trip to the Tobin Center to hear the San Antonio Symphony as part of the symphony’s Young People’s Concert Series. Before the Christmas break, over 100 Freedom parents attended the 7 Habits Day 2 training held in the school cafeteria.
