The reading program, Read to the Final Four, which coincides with the NCAA Road to the Final Four kicked off on October 17th, 2024. Four hundred third grade students were invited to represent their school districts at the Magik Theatre. The students were treated to a Reading Pep Rally with cheerleaders, an emcee and a DJ.
Turkey in Disguise
It’s time for our annual Turkey in Disguise contest. If you would like to participate please ask your teacher for a blank copy of the turkey template. Be creative. You can use whatever materials you’d like, but please remember these guidelines.
- Turkeys must be school appropriate characters
- We must be able to display your turkey on the wall
- Make sure the student’s first and last name, grade level and teacher’s name are ON THE BACK of the page. (Turkeys with student’s name on the front cannot be judged.)
You may bring in your decorated turkey any day before November 15th.
Judging will take place Nov. 18th.
We will select a winning turkey for each grade level for best and most creative disguise. Those winners will receive a $20 gift card. Other prizes will be given out for the following categories:
- Best Crayon Creation
- Best student made creation
- Best family made creation
- Most creative use of materials.
