October is National Anti-Bully Month. This month we had numerous activities to promote a bully free school. A school where we choose kindness. A school where we include everyone. Freedom students enjoyed dress up days to help remind us to be a buddy and not a bully. We had lessons taught by our counselor. Students used their creativity to promote bully prevention with our annual bully prevention poster contest. We had an Anti-Bully/Drug Free Walk-a-thon where as a group we discussed the importance of helping to stop bullying, and how it takes all of us to make a difference. On October 19th we celebrated National Unity Day as a district. On this day we encouraged everyone to wear orange. To stand out and stand up against bullying. To be a friend, include others, and accept differences. Freedom wore orange proudly on this day. We are united together to make our world better!
