2023-2024
Cardinal Spotlight Recognizes Damian Ramirez & Miguel Gomez

Damian Ramirez is a PK4 student in Mr. Zavala’s class. Damian is an outstanding student and a shining example of leadership here at Menchaca ECC. Without being asked, he takes it upon himself to go around and push in all the students’ chairs and put things away when it’s time to clean up. Damian’s initiative and thoughtful actions demonstrate not only his responsibility but also his genuine care for his fellow students and the learning environment. Keep up the great work, Damian!

We are delighted to shine the spotlight on Mr. Gomez, a remarkable Dual Language Kindergarten teacher whose dedication, teamwork, and exceptional classroom management skills have significantly enriched our students’ learning environment. Mr. Gomez stands out as a true team player, always willing to go above and beyond to support colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the school community. One of Mr. Gomez’s standout strengths is his unparalleled classroom management skills. He creates an environment where students feel safe, engaged, and eager to learn. His ability to establish clear expectations, provide consistent routines, and address behavioral challenges with a balanced and nurturing approach sets a gold standard for effective classroom management. Mr. Gomez is not only a Dual Language Kinder educator par excellence but also an inspiring team player. His dedication to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment sets a benchmark for excellence in early education. We are very fortunate to have Mr. Gomez as an integral part of our Menchaca team.
