We are excited to bring you another edition of our biweekly newsletter, keeping you informed and engaged with all the happenings at MECC. In this issue, we celebrate Read Across America Week with fun literacy activities, share important upcoming dates, and provide helpful reminders to keep our school community thriving. As we approach Spring Break, we encourage you to enjoy quality time with your little learners while keeping the spirit of learning alive at home.

Mobile Vaccine Clinic Thursday, February 13th

Christus Children’s will have a mobile vaccine clinic at Menchaca on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 9am- noon.
There will be flu vaccines and routine vaccines for ALL ages available.
* If your child turns 4 at the end of January or beginning of February or is on a catch-up schedule, this is your chance to get them their required vaccines without having to miss work or school!
* If you have a child you will be registering for school this is a good opportunity to get them the vaccines they will need to start. I would be happy to review vaccine records before registration events.
* If you have a baby who needs vaccines, you are welcome to attend.
* If you have a child going into 7th grade, this is for you, too.
* Do you or your child need a flu vaccine? (head’s up: this season has been rough and is predicted to go into May!)
