Losoya Cardinal Spotlight
Congratulations to student Leandra W and tech aide John Herrera for being showcased for this week’s Losoya Cardinal Spotlight!
Leandra is a perfect example of a Cardinal leader who leads by example in the classroom and in athletics. Her work ethic proves to be one of her greatest attributes and we look forward to seeing her success as a student and athlete in her upcoming years in high school.
Mr. Herrera, a product of Southside ISD, is constantly available to support staff as needed, not only as the campus technology aide, but also in the classroom. After returning from Winter Break, Mr. Herrera took on the role of leading two classes for 8th grade Reading Strategies. In addition to doing a great job playing various roles on campus, he also has established a strong rapport with our students proving to be another fine example of a soaring Southside Cardinal!
Happy National School Counselor Week!
Losoya Middle School wants to wish our wonderful Mrs. Garcia and Mrs. Moreno a Happy National School Counselors Week! You two are amazing at your job and we are grateful to have y’all with us! Thank you for everything y’all do!
Robotics Club at Work
Students in the Losoya Robotics Club are having a blast working on their Spike Prime Robots and micro:bits. This past week, some worked on programming their robots to complete missions from last year’s FIRST Lego competition, while another programmed a micro:bit to play Tetris. We look forward to some new creations and ideas in the future!
Welcome Ms. Herrera to Losoya MS!
Losoya Middle School wants to welcome Ms. Patricia Herrera as our new principal’s secretary. We’re excited to have Ms. Herrera join us, and we look forward to having her on our team!
