Choir Making Music

Today, our choir student enjoyed review games and Chrome Lab Music, composing songs, to cap off the week before their end of the year field trip to Fiesta Texas. They had fun making music and collaborating!

Losoya Band Performs at Texas Lutheran University

This week, Losoya’s Beginner Band, Symphonic Band, and Honor Band held the distinct honor of performing at the Texas Lutheran University Band Festival. Students got the opportunity to perform in an incredible venue and receive feedback from judges, with the Symphonic Band and Honor Band earning the highest ratings of “Outstanding Performance” as well as a surprise outstanding soloist to their “duck” who performed during their El Pato Loco performance.  Great job Losoya Band!

Girls Track Conference Meet Results

Congratulations to the Losoya 7th and 8th grade athletes for their success in yesterday’s Big 19 Conference Meet! We are so proud of all their accomplishments this season.
8th grade girls earned 3rd place overall with the following:
  • Gracie Galvan earned Overall Top Athlete (Two years in a Row!), getting 2nd place and a PR in the 100m, 1st place and a PR in 400m, and got PRs in the Triple Jump, High Jump, and 4×100 Relay.
  • The 4×100 Relay team earned a new PR! The team included Dalilah Villasenor, Madilyn Johnson, Emma Bazan, and Graciela Galvan
  • Juleanna Pritchard earned 3rd place in Discus

7th grade girls also performed well with the following:

  • Arhianna Sanchez earned 2nd place in the Pole Vault
  • Amarya Baines-Castro earned 3rd place in Shot Put
  • Jozlyn Moreno earned 4th place in Shot Put
  • Violet Caballero earned 6th place in High Jump

Art Field Trip

Advanced Art students experienced virtual, hands-on interactive art exhibits when they visited Hopscotch on Monday, May 12. Students had a blast interacting with a black-light ball pit, a motion-sensored trampoline, and other art rooms.
