School Parent Compact

Attention parents/guardians: please take a look at this year’s school-parent compact! Losoya and the parents/guardians of students participating in activities, services, and programs funded by Title 1 must be in agreement with our campus to share responsibilities to improve our academic achievement and the state’s high standands. Nursing Consent Form

Attention Cardinal Families: Due to Senate Bill 12 that just passed earlier this month, in order for any student to see and receive care from the nurse for ANY reason, the attached form must be filled out. A school district can only provide lifesaving care if there is no signed consent. Any student WITHOUT consent who needs care will have his or her parent/guardian called for school pickup.

Junior Cheer Clinic

Calling all Future Cardinal Cheerleaders! Any students grades PK thru 8th grade are invited to attend a clinic on Saturday, Sept 27, where they’ll learn basic cheer motions, Cardinal cheers, and fun dances. Those interested can pre-register with the QR code or by visiting https://bit.ly/SHSJrCheerClinic25. 📣📣📣 Onsite registration will also take place on Sept 27 from 11 am – 12 pm.
 
The clinic will take place at the Southside HS Main Gym from 12-3:30 pm. Registration is $35 per student and includes a meal, shirt, and bow. Payments accepted include cash or Vanco. Students can register from Sept 14 to Sept 27.

Cross Country Meet Saturday

Happy Friday, Cardinals! Come support our 7th and 8th grade cross country team as they run against Somerset on Saturday, September 20. 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏾 7th graders will be running at 9 am and 8th graders will be running at 9:30 am. The meet will take place behind Somerset Jr High at 4730 TX-1605 Loop, Von Ormy, TX 78073. We hope to see you there to cheer them on! 🎉

Scoliosis/Spinal Screening

Happy Monday, Cardinals! This week, our nurse will be conducting screenings for scoliosis (or curvature of the spine). District nurses will carry out the screening, which takes less than 30 seconds per child. Losoya is scheduled to have its students screened starting Monday, Sept 15. 🏥👩‍⚕️
