Update: Carol Calderon at 6pm May 8, 2020 was named the Trinity Prize Winner for Elementary. She was selected out of some of the most talented teachers in Bexar County. This is a first for Heritage Elementary!
Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching AwardThis prize is awarded in the spring to two teachers from among 21 school districts in the San Antonio area. The two top prize educators receive $2500 and are honored at a ceremony in the spring. This award is co-sponsored by Trinity University and the HEB Foundation.
Hello! Today is the Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching Ceremony where the 17 distinguished Educators from the San Antonio area will be recognized. Two winners will be selected. Mr. Eads, Carol, and myself will participate in the Zoom ceremony this afternoon. We wish Carol the best! We are sad that this event has to take place virtually. This is a beautiful ceremony where the National Teacher of the Year speaks to us. We wish Carol the best! Here are a few pictures that show how special she is. She is always inspiring and motivating her students to work hard and to be in school. Most of these pictures were taken on Fridays…Carol is always promoting “Fun Fridays” to make sure her students were not absent on a Friday.
