As middle school basketball season comes to an end we’re excited to share that the 8th Grade Boys B Team at Losoya Middle School completed their season 9-0 becoming Conference Champions! “It was a great game,” said Principal Blackmon. “The championship was tight the entire time, but we pulled it off!”
At Matthey Middle School, both the 8th Grade A team and the 8th Grade B team finished the season with a 5-1 record in Zone play, and both qualified for the Post Season Tournament. Both teams made great improvements from last year where they did not qualify for the Gold Bracket Post Season tournament. The 8th Grade B Team, coached by Coach Derrion Sendejo made the biggest turnaround. They went from only 2 wins last year to finishing the year with an overall record of 5-2.
The 7th Grade A team fought back from injuries this year and qualified for the Post Season Tournament. Next year looks to be even better for this group and we’re excited to see what’s in store.
