Southside High School Welding hosted the annual SkillsUSA District 11 Welding Contest. With over 70 students competing in the Hands-on Skills portion with schools from all over the area including Floresville, Somerset, Southwest Legacy, Wagner, and Del Rio. Southside had 18 students competing in various hands-on skills welding and job exhibits (projects). Job Exhibits had 7 Cardinal students qualify for state! With a western theme Octagon BBQ Pit and a Hog Trap.
SkillsUSA State Contest will be April 3rd – April 6th, 2024. Congratulations to these young men!
