Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at a SISD board meeting, several special education students were honored and showed off their Special Olympic Medals.
These students were among the more than 120 students from Southside ISD’s elementary schools through the high school who participated in the Bowlero bowling alley on Goliad Road event. This gives an opportunity for all students to get out of the classroom and practice their skills, like Peer Assist Students who come from the High School to help out. This event also promotes inclusion among the students and throughout the programs. The Cardinal athletes competed against many school districts in the San Antonio area. Thank you to all parent volunteers and staff who assisted. It was truly a team effort!
