UIW Medical School hosts Southside ISD students for solar eclipse

The University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine hosted a solar eclipse viewing event for Southside ISD students and parents at the medical school on Saturday, October 14, 2023. About two dozen Southside students interacted with medical students and watched the eclipse take place. Medical school dean Dr. John Pham described the interaction as heartwarming. “Our students embraced the opportunity to connect with the community while also acquiring invaluable experience for their future medical careers. The relationship between UIW and Southside ISD is one that we value highly,” said Dr. Pham.
