Like a scene from the Olympics, students from Southside ISD campuses walked into Southside Stadium to the applause and cheers of thousands of fans waving them on from the bleachers. It happened during the Lighting of the S event and parade on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The annual event inspired by the big homecoming game this week is designed to instill district and community pride.
