Southside ISD welcomed two new directors this month. Although these proud Cardinals are new to the position they are not unique to Southside ISD. We are happy to see our family of professionals excel. Here are Dr. Ernesto Salinas and Ms. Melissa Martinez;
Here is a word for the new Director of Special Programs, Dr. Ernesto Salinas:
I am honored to be the new Director of Special Programs for the Southside Independent School District. I am delighted to work with our students, staff, parents, and community to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all learners. We have some exciting plans for the future of the department. I am confident that we can make a difference in the lives of our students, and I am thrilled to work with you all to make that happen.

Our Bilingual Department now has Ms. Melissa Martinez as the Director of Bilingual Services.
Ms. Martinez is a veteran of Southside ISD; she says, ” I am very excited about this opportunity. I have some exciting new ideas for the department, especially the children and staff for Southside. My passion is these children and the bilingual services that we provide. I am very grateful and blessed to be here to serve you all.”
