At the heart of every successful bilingual program there is a knowledgeable, creative, and dedicated individual who makes impacting the lives of students their life’s mission. Bilingual/Dual/ESL Language teachers hold high expectations for students and they are motivated by the deepest of convictions. They value their role and believe that they can make a difference in the life of a child.
In recognition of outstanding educational expertise and exemplary professional service throughout San Antonio, the San Antonio Area Association for Bilingual Education (SAAABE) has established the SAAABE Bilingual/ESL Teacher of the Year Award. The 2023 SAAABE Bilingual Teacher of the Year is our very own, Daniela Romero, 5th grade Dual Language Teacher at Gallardo Elementary.
As recipient of the 2022-2023 SAAABE Teacher of the Year Award , Ms. Romero will be publicly acknowledged and honored during the SAAABE Conference Luncheon on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Congratulations Ms. Romero!
