As an incentive to get COVID vaccines and boosters, the University Health System of San Antonio gave away $50 H-E-B gift cards to anyone who got a COVID vaccine. A total of 104 people who received COVID vaccines at the Southside ISD Administrative Offices on December 16, 2022 and walked away with a total of $5200 in gift cards. The event was open to the entire community. Additionally, 40 people received much-needed flu vaccines. The University of the Incarnate Word and the Bexar County Health Collaborative sponsored the event.
