SHS Women’s Choir Shines at Mayor’s Conference on Women

The Southside High School Women’s Choir was the only choir invited to perform for the YWCA-Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women Conference at Brooks City Base. The award-winning choir beautifully performed the national anthem under the direction of choir director Mr. Joel Ahumada. The choir, composed of seniors and juniors, received support from District 4 City Councilwoman Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia and Mayor Ron Nirenberg’s Director of Policy Michelle Lugalia-Hollon.
