The Southside ISD’s bond election to build two new elementary schools for the District’s children has been rescheduled for November 3, 2020. The Board of Managers approved the measure after Gov. Greg Abbott suspended provisions of the May election because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The proposed $64.7 million bond would first construct a new elementary that would replace Pearce Elementary which was built in 1965. A second elementary school would be constructed based on the District’s enrollment.
