Losoya Intermediate’s Alicia San Miguel is back in the classroom after getting hit by a drunk driver. San Miguel was quoted in the paper saying to her students, “You may know peers or friends who have considered or thought about drinking. I’m going to tell you it’s a bad choice, especially when you get in the car.” 
Pearce Primary principal Brenda Gonzales made the front page of the San Antonio Express News Metro section and was featured on several television stations in San Antonio and across the country after getting duct taped to the wall! It was all part of the school’s fundraising goals. Overall the school raised $10,000.
