Matthey Middle School Recognized at Middle School One Act Play Competition
Congratulations to Matthey Middle School‘s Mrs. Jennifer Meers, Davian Chavez, Maddie Uriegas, Georgio Chavez, and Angel-Marie Tyner on their outstanding recognition at Saturday’s Middle School One Act Play competition. We are so proud of your hard work and talent!

No Backpacks 12/16-12/18
No backpacks will be allowed on campus for the remainder of the semester from 12/16–12/18.
Any gifts or gift bags brought to campus will be held in the front office until the end of the day.

Matthey 8th Grade Girls Basketball Celebrates a Winning Season
Congratulations to the eighth-grade Matthey Middle School Girls’ Basketball Teams!
The Matthey A Team finished an incredible season as Undefeated Zone Champions, showcasing skill, determination, and true Cardinal spirit.
The B Team also delivered an impressive run, winning every game after their opener and earning the title of Zone Champions.
Both teams demonstrated exceptional teamwork and dedication from start to finish. Every athlete played a key role in this well-deserved achievement. The coaches and Matthey staff could not be prouder of this outstanding group of student athletes.

The Matthey MS Cardinal Spotlight for the week is Sue Ellen De La Cruz Flores. This is Mrs. De La Cruz Flores first year at Matthey MS. She serves as our ARD Facilitator. We are proud to recognize Mrs. Sue Ellen De La Cruz Flores for her unwavering dedication to our students at Matthey Middle School. As our ARD Facilitator, she works tirelessly to ensure that our most at-risk students receive the academic supports and services they need to succeed. Her advocacy, organization, and guidance help strengthen the foundation of success for every learner she serves.

The Matthey MS student Cardinal Spotlight for the week is Melanie Vera. We are excited to recognize Melanie Vera, an outstanding 7th grade student here at Matthey Middle School! Melanie recently earned the title of Middle School District Spelling Bee Champion and will proudly represent our campus and district at the Regional Spelling Bee.
Melanie is not only a strong academic leader, but she also excels as an athlete and a dedicated member of our Dual Language Program. Her hard work, determination, and school spirit shine in everything she does!
