Upcoming SISD Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 25th at 6 pm.

Southside ISD Board Meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of every month. The meeting begins at 6 pm respectively. Agendas are posted to the website prior to the meeting.

Members of the community are welcome to attend in-person meetings as long as there is room available – meeting are held in the Board Room located at 1460 Martinez-Losoya Rd. If you can not attend, all meetings are live-streamed on the SISD Youtube and Facebook Channels. Click here for a link to the live streaming channel.

New Student Registration

Parents throughout San Antonio can now enroll new students, for all grade levels Pre K3-12th Grade at the Southside ISD New Student Registration at Menchaca Early Childhood Center located at 16180 U.S. Highway 281 South. This is only for new students registering for the 2022-2023 school year.

The New Student Registration is happening:

  • May 24 & 26 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Please bring the following documents:

  • Student’s birth certificate
  • Proof of Income (check stub, federal tax copy, etc.)
  • Vaccination record
  • Student’s Social Security Card
  • ID card of Parent/Guardian  (i.e. Driver License, green card, Texas ID)
  • Custody/guardianship paperwork (if applicable)
  • Withdrawal form (if applicable)
  • Last report card (if applicable)
  • Special Programs records (i.e. ARD, FIE, IEP, 504, dyslexia, EB, etc. if applicable)
  • Proof of Residency (i.e. utility bill, lease, tax bill, connection receipt)

We invite all of our Southside community to come out and celebrate our Cardinal Students as they wrap up an amazing school year!
Join us for student performances, games, food, and more! Also, find out where the Battle of Medina took place and bring artifacts to have them examined by an archeologist.
This event is FREE and open to the public.

Attention SISD Teachers! The Southside ISD Education Foundation is now accepting applications for its Innovation Grant program. SISD Teachers, please apply today! Go Cardinals.

Innovation Teaching Grants are designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches to the accomplishment of program objectives. The Southside ISD Education Foundation is offering teachers and administrators the opportunity to apply for grants to support innovative programs or projects to support higher levels of student learning. The grants must enhance student academic performance and support the objectives, goals, and initiatives related to the curriculum at SISD. Applications are due May 7, 2022.
