Cardinal Spotlight Recognizes Monzerrat Soto & Mrs. Janalyn Torres

Monzerrat Soto truly exemplifies outstanding leadership in her classroom. Her unwavering commitment to upholding both classroom and Menchaca Early Childhood Center rules sets a wonderful example for her peers. Monzerrat thrives as the captain of her table, showing not only enthusiasm but also a genuine desire to help her classmates during breakfast and throughout activities. Her willingness to answer questions demonstrates her strong understanding of the material and her readiness to support others. What makes Monzerrat particularly special is her ability to connect with all her classmates; she fosters a positive and inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and friendship. Her joyful spirit brightens her classroom, making it a welcoming place for everyone.

We are absolutely thrilled to shine the spotlight on Janalyn Torres as our MECC Staff Cardinal! Mrs. Torres embodies everything we strive for in our school community. Her warm and genuine smile makes every parent, staff member, and visitor feel welcomed and valued from the moment they step through our doors. Her kindness and professionalism set a positive tone for our campus, making her not only a trusted face but also the heart of our front office.

Mrs. Torres’s ability to juggle multiple tasks with grace and efficiency is nothing short of amazing. She is always ready to lend a helping hand, offering support wherever it’s needed with a positive and can do attitude. Her commitment to excellence is evident in everything she does, from assisting staff to answering questions, all while ensuring that our campus runs smoothly.

Mrs. Torres exemplifies dedication, hard work, and an unwavering passion for making a difference in the lives of others. We are truly fortunate to have someone as exceptional as Mrs. Torres representing our school and district. Cardinal Spotlight Recognizes Noah Martinez Cantu & Mrs. Tanya Mares

MNoah Martinez Cantu has consistently demonstrated exceptional character. He has shown great empathy and care by helping a classmate who occasionally comes to school upset, offering comforting hugs and assisting in calming her down. He is continuously learning new routines and diligently follows directions. His progress and dedication make us all incredibly proud! In addition, Noah has shown remarkable responsibility. He takes care of his tasks and returns to class promptly without needing reminders. He is reliable when going to different areas of the building, always completing what he needs to. His growth in personal responsibility is truly impressive!

Mrs. Mares is all smiles when she speaks about her campus. She has an excellent rapport with her team. She is supportive and understanding. When it comes to her students and staff, she will go the extra mile to help them. With the huge responsibility of serving over 800 students, Mrs. Mares never complains and never asks for anything. She is the ultimate team player who cares about her little ones at Menchaca and wants them to go extremely prepared to 1st Grade!
