Cristelda Gonzales is an outstanding PK3 paraprofessional. Ms. Cristelda’s warmth and patience help create a nurturing environment where our youngest learners thrive. She goes the extra mile to support each child’s growth, always with a smile and an encouraging word. Her dedication and passion make a lasting impact on our students, and we are grateful to have her as part of our team.

Cardinal Spotlight Recognizes James Rodriguez & Rita Martinez

James Rodriguez is called “an incredible human” by his kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Guerra. He will go out of his way to help someone in need. He is compassionate and kind to all his classmates. James is exceptionally helpful and considerate. He consistently goes above and beyond to lend a helping hand and offer support. His genuine concern for the well-being of those around him is evident in his actions, as he takes the time to actively listen and understand the needs of others. James not only anticipates the challenges people may face but proactively seeks solutions to make their lives easier. He is especially helpful to his teacher and extremely patient. He said, “Mrs. Guerra, you don’t need to stress, I can help you. What do you need me to do?” He is truly one of a kind and his teacher shared how grateful she is to have him as a student this year.

Rita Martinez isn’t just the principal’s secretary; she is the heartbeat of the school. With her infectious energy and unwavering dedication, she transcends her role, becoming the go-to person for all staff members and a cherished cheerleader for students. From the moment one steps into the school, Rita’s presence is felt—a beacon of warmth and positivity amid the hustle and bustle. Her cheery disposition is contagious, brightening even the gloomiest of days. But her role extends far beyond mere pleasantries; Rita is the backbone of the school community. Teachers seek her out for everything from administrative tasks to moral support. Whether it’s arranging schedules, handling paperwork, or offering a listening ear, Rita is there, ready to assist with a smile. She understands the challenges educators face and makes it her mission to alleviate their burdens wherever possible.

Cardinal Spotlight Recognizes Damian Ramirez & Miguel Gomez

Damian Ramirez is a PK4 student in Mr. Zavala’s class. Damian is an outstanding student and a shining example of leadership here at Menchaca ECC. Without being asked, he takes it upon himself to go around and push in all the students’ chairs and put things away when it’s time to clean up. Damian’s initiative and thoughtful actions demonstrate not only his responsibility but also his genuine care for his fellow students and the learning environment. Keep up the great work, Damian!

Mr. Gomez stands out as a true team player, always willing to go above and beyond to support colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the school community. One of Mr. Gomez’s standout strengths is his unparalleled classroom management skills. He creates an environment where students feel safe, engaged, and eager to learn. The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program ® is a parenting and family support system designed to help children to realize their potential.

Triple P is designed to be with parents on every step of their journey, providing help and guidance to families when they need it. It aims to create supportive family environments, and to prevent, as well as treat, behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers.
