These updates are to inform SISD employees during the COVID 19 Public Health Pandemic. SISD will aim to give all employees the latest information as it becomes available.

As of today, April 15, 2020, here are the latest updates:

  • MORE NEW UPDATES to the Southside ISD website. Check it out, http://southsideisd.org/
  • Professional Development started this week for Teachers and Instructional staff. If you missed it, Click here to listen to an inspiring message from Superintendent Mark E. Eads.
  • We are all teachers. Online instruction continues to increase. More than 110K people are visiting the SISD website.
  • From Monday, April 6th to Sunday, April 12th Child Nutrition served 19,541 meals to Southside ISD families.

    • Since getting back from Spring Break Child Nutrition staff and support teams in maintenance, transportation, police, campus admin and custodians have been working M-F to serve our community.
  • More than 1700 families have requested Chromebooks. Technology continues to outfit students with computers. This week they will start to send out notifications on hot spots.
  • Board of Managers' next meeting is April 23rd at 6 pm.
Food Pantry Update:

The number of people getting help from the Southside ISD Kym Rapier Food Pantry has doubled in the last month. On Saturday, April 11, the District had its largest food distribution in Southside ISD history. Thanks to the volunteers and our partner, San Antonio Food Bank, for making it possible. Volunteers distributed 14 tons of food to 4,400 Southside residents.
The next food distribution is Sat., April 25 at 9:00 a.m.

    Payroll Dates for April

    Payroll Update: New Pay Dates for April
    April 2020 Bi-weekly payroll will be on the 3rd and the 17th. Semi-monthly payroll will be on the 10th and the 24th. Staff, be aware that all employees of Southside ISD will continue to get paid through the COVID 19 pandemic and closures. However, be mindful the business office will continue to modify payroll delivery dates for your convenience.
