January is Board Appreciation Month and we wanted to share a series of videos from our Cardinals that show our appreciation! All seven board of managers volunteer countess hours to help our community each year and we are so thankful.
The Southside High School girls basketball team defeated San Benito to win the consolation Gold Bracket! Freshmen Gabriela Galvan and Sophomore Marissa Ortiz were selected to the All Tournament team!
Saturday, December 4th, 23 members of the Southside High School Mighty Cardinal Band traveled to Medina Valley and competed against the top band students from surrounding schools in the TMEA region 11 honor band contest. We are proud to report that all 23 students came home with honors, including 9 students making band 2 and 10 students making band 1. Of these, 7 students will continue on to the area level audition in January for a chance at making the all state band. Congratulations to these hard working students on their outstanding achievement!
