May 21, 2026 by webmaster

Southside High School student, Anh Nguyen, has been named the UIL Academic State Champion in Editorial Writing for the 5A Division.

This historic accomplishment marks the first-ever UIL Academic State Championship in Southside ISD history. Anh’s dedication, talent, perseverance, and passion for excellence have brought immense pride to our district and community.

This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the guidance and unwavering support of her UIL Academic Coach, Mrs. Donna Martinez, along with all of our UIL Academic Coaches, who continue to inspire and challenge our students to reach their highest potential.

These achievements reflect the dedication and hard work of our students, the unwavering commitment of our staff, and the constant love and support from our families and community.
