The First Day of School is Thursday, August 11th. Only parents at Menchaca Early Childhood Center will be able to walk their children to class during the first two days of school. Security checks will be in place. Grades 1-12 will be student drop off only as we continue to follow COVID and security protocols.
Parents, Please know that added security measures may cause delays at Meet the Teacher Night. Staff will check IDs before allowing anyone to enter the campus. Also, NO BAGS, PURSES, ETC. will be allowed inside the building. Only school supplies and medical bags will be allowed. Back to School information can be accessed on the SISD website here. In an effort to provide greater accessibility to all parents and guardians for registration, the District will be offering a registration event for all campuses in the Southside ISD Board Room 1460 Martinez Losoya Rd. in order to register their children. Please note registration will also be available at the Back to School Bash on Wednesday, August 3rd from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m at Southside HS.

Southside ISD is hosting its annual Back-to-School Bash on Wednesday, August 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Southside High School Cafeteria and Gym at 19190 US-281 . The event brings the community together for an evening of family fun to kick off the 2022-2023 school year. In addition to a wide variety of activities and games, there will be school supplies, student health services, and more – provided free of charge to the Southside ISD students. Following the Back to School Bash be sure to stay for Summer Movie Nights Featuring Disney’s Encanto beginning at 8:00 p.m. Stay until the end of the movie for a chance to win a $500 gift card from HEB along with other fun prizes. Popcorn is donated from CityBase Cinema Entertainment, and the event is hosted by SISD and the SISD Education Foundation and sponsored by Amerigroup and HEB.
