SPURS PE Take Over!

The Spurs sports academy came to Pearce on October 9 to provide a PE takeover for students in grades 3rd to 5th. The takeover focused on movement and improving basketball skills in a fun, noncompetitive environment. Students had a blast being a part of this special event. Thank you Spurs academy.

Principal’s Pajama Party

Students and parents were invited to a pajama party with the principal on October 3rd. Students got to enjoy concession snacks, face painting, smore’s, and a movie. Thank you to all students and parents who attended to help make our event a success. Also, thank you to all staff who were there to assist in this event. We couldn’t do it without you. Stay tuned for our next adventure.

Attendance Matters!

Each month students participate in an attendance challenge across the grade levels.

The attendance incentive for the grade level with the highest attendance for the month of September was very close.  This is how the grade levels scored:
 
In 5th place: 4th grade with 93.20%
In 4th place: 1st grade with 93.79%
In 3rd place: 5th grade with 94.23%
And the two top grade levels are 3rd grade with 94.48% and 2nd grade with 94.89%, which makes our winner of the haunted house adventure – 2nd grade!
Congratulations to all grade levels! Keep coming to school to help your grade level win the next monthly incentive in October: Recess with a Twist!

Family Book Fair Night

A BIG THANK YOU to all our Pearce families who shopped on book fair night, September 26, 2024 and throughout the week. There were many excited faces as families shopped for books for their home libraries. Again, thank you for supporting our school and always showing up.

STREAM Classes

Students love attending STREAM (science, technology, reading, engineering, art, music) class. Students pictured are working on designing hoop flyers using the scientific method. Students were able to plan, design, and test out their experiments. We love to make learning fun in STREAM class.

Lunch Time!

Did you know that all students at Pearce and Southside get to enjoy a free breakfast, lunch and supper meal? Some fan favorites are the chicken wings, munchables, and loaded baked potatoes! A hungry child can’t learn, nutrition is very important at Pearce Elementary.
