Grandparents Day!

We love and appreciate our grandparents at Pearce Elementary. Grandparents were invited to read a story and enjoy lunch with their grandkid(s). Thank you to all our grandparents that came out to celebrate this day with us.

First-Grader Aubrey Rubio’s Design Chosen for UTSA Football Tickets

Congratulations to Aubrey Rubio, a first-grader at Pearce Elementary, for being chosen as one of UTSA’s Athletic Annual Contest!

Rubio’s design and six other contest winners will be displayed on the printed ticket for the UTSA 2024 football season. This year’s Educator Appreciation theme inspired her design. It features a teacher with the UTSA’s Roadrunner hand signal.

Rubio says she was inspired to pick the Educator Appreciation theme because her past teachers had a strong impact on her, which gives her a lot of joy when she is in school learning.

Aubrey continues to express and apply herself in her talents hoping to one day follow in her teacher’s footsteps and become one herself.

Pearce Art Contest Winners

Aubrey Rubio (1st grade) was selected as the winner in the UTSA Football Ticket Drawing Contest! Her artwork will be proudly featured on the printed tickets for the 2024-25 UTSA football season.

Ethen Mercado (4th grade) won Artsonia’s  “Artist of the Week “. He earned Pearce a $100 gift certificate and a $50 certificate for himself to buy art supplies from Blick art materials.

Centro Cultural Aztlan Exhibit and Contest Participants & Winner

Congratulations to the following Pearce students listed below. Their superhero artwork is currently displayed at the Centro Cultural Aztlan Exhibit until May 16th. They received participation awards on Saturday, May 4th . A special congratulations to 1st grader Amber Vaenkham who received 1st place in the 1st grade division!
