Student Council Mtg on Monday!

Calling all Losoya StuCo members! We will be having a meeting after school, on Monday, September 9th in the library from 4:10 – 5:00 pm. Students who attend must have a ride home by 5 pm.

For those still interested in joining, but haven’t yet, please come to the meeting!

You can direct any questions to Mr. Wells in the Band Hall in the STEM/7000s building. We hope to see you, there!

 

September Dress Themes

Show your school spirit in September at Losoya MS! All students and staff are invited to wear the following dress up themes:

Monday: Color Power — Wear your favorite color shirt.
Tuesday: Twos-Day — Dress as a twin or duo.
Wednesday: Future Days — Wear your college, military, or career outfit.
Thursday: Spirit Gear — Wear your favorite sports team gear.
Friday: Cartoon Fun — Wear your favorite cartoon outfit.

Students not participating must wear a red, black, or white shirt to abide by school dress code.

Calling all Cardinals! Any Losoya students interested in joining Student Council should stop by the library after school on Friday, August 30 to learn more information. Those attending should make sure they have a ride home by 5 pm, and if you have any questions, please see our Band Director and sponsor, Mr. Wells. We hope to see y’all there!

Cardinal Spotlight Week of 8/26

Natalie R. is an amazing 8th grader at LMS. Her favorite subjects are reading, art, and history. In her spare time, she enjoys creating digital art. She was involved in basketball through an outside league, and also enjoys music. With family, her favorite pastimes are going on trips to Kalahari and the beach. She has a dog named Luna. In the future, Natalie intends on going to Texas State University and becoming a digital animator. We look forward to seeing her continued growth and success here at Losoya where she will be an eighth grader the upcoming school year.
Mr. G. Martinez is a first year teacher at Losoya for our Social Studies Department. Martinez has hit the ground running teaching 6th and 7th grade dual language courses, as well as classes for the rest of 7th grade. A recent graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio (Birds up!), Mr. Martinez is excited to bring his passion and dedication for learning to the students of Losoya. We are so happy to have Mr. Martinez here and look forward to a great year in his classroom.

Join Movie Club!

Interested in watching movies? Apply to join Losoya’s Movie Club, which will take place on Mondays in the Library! If interested in joining, please see Ms. Mayen (6th), Mr. Tufino (7th) or Ms. Emeric (8th) for an application. Applications are due Friday, September 6th.

 

Volleyball Tryouts
