Robotics Club at Work
Students in the Losoya Robotics Club are having a blast working on their Spike Prime Robots and micro:bits. This past week, some worked on programming their robots to complete missions from last year’s FIRST Lego competition, while another programmed a micro:bit to play Tetris. We look forward to some new creations and ideas in the future!

Losoya Middle School wants to welcome Ms. Patricia Herrera as our new principal’s secretary. We’re excited to have Ms. Herrera join us, and we look forward to having her on our team!
CTE/Electives Parents Night Visit
Parents of future Southside High School students, come explore the different electives and CTE programs available at Southside HS! There will be an information session on Tuesday, February 6th at the high school auditorium from 6:00 – 7:00 pm for all 8th grade students. We hope to see you there!
STEM Youth Summit a success!
This past week, librarian Ms. Spicer and teacher Mr. Zavala accompanied some lucky 8th graders to visit St. Mary’s University to attend the 2024 STEM Youth Summit. While there, they engaged in fun activities that involved math stations, robotics, engineering, simulated drone flights and they got to meet with organizations that provide programs to help build interest and engagement with STEM-based futures.
Southside ISD Immunization Clinic
Christus Mobile Clinic is offering Southside ISD students a Student Immunization Clinic on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Losoya Middle School.
This mobile clinic will provide vaccines at NO COST (FREE) for Southside ISD students.
Appointments are REQUIRED. Call (210) 954-3764 to make an appointment.
Parents are not required to be present IF the consent/pre-screening packet is filled out BEFORE the scheduled appointment. Consent/pre-screening packets can be picked up at the health clinic.
