of San Antonio Metro Health will join us live with important information. Dr. Woo will
also join us LIVE on Friday, Sept. 18, at 5:00 p.m. for a FACEBOOK LIVE session in Spanish.

Cardinal Spotlight Week of September 14: Heritage Elementary School
Diana Oviedo-Holguin is a 1st Grade Dual Language teacher and has been at Heritage for 13 years and in our district for a total of 14 1/2 years. Mrs. Holguin shows her dedication to her students and profession by being here early every morning and usually is here so late on Fridays she has to be kicked out. So when you see her, greet her with an “Hola y gracias,” because she truly deserves it!
Emerson Nieto is a lively first grader with a smile that lights up a room. Emerson is a creative, kind, and an out of the box thinker that loves participating in lessons. His interests include playing Uno, his dog Ruby, and eating his favorite food, pepperoni pizza.
Cardinal Spotlight Week of September 7: Heritage Elementary School
This week’s spotlight for Heritage Elementary is Claudia Herrera, and 2nd-grade student, Aubri Sanchez.
Claudia Herrera serves as our PE assistant. In addition to her PE duties, she also tutors students throughout the day. She truly is a team player. Claudia is very supportive of her colleagues and of the Heritage community. She goes above and beyond to support school-wide events and activities. Claudia is the mother of three Southside ISD children. Her oldest child just graduated from Southside High School this year.
Aubri is a hard-working, sweet 2nd-grade student at Heritage Elementary. Ready with a quick smile and an eagerness to learn, she is a fun-loving addition to any classroom. It’s been a pleasure watching her grow through the grades, she has grown to love school and we love having her here!
